Ubaid, 11 years old

When Ubaid was ten years old, he was abducted and remained missing for eighteen days. He found his way home when his captors, after a sudden commotion, released him and disappeared.

It began when Ubaid went to the nearby market. Two young men approached him there, spoke kindly, and bought him food. Gaining his trust, they convinced him to join them for a car ride and then abducted him.

Ubaid was taken to a house where he was kept locked inside for nearly two weeks before being moved to another location. During his captivity, he had little understanding of where he was or why he had been taken.

One night, he heard the men shouting and arguing. In the midst of the chaos, they quickly put him into a car, drove some distance, and left him alone on an unfamiliar street. Frightened and disoriented, Ubaid wandered for hours until he found a police station, where officers helped reunite him with his family.
