Yasir was missing for more than four months before he was finally found at a government shelter home in Faisalabad. Investigations later revealed that a young person from his neighborhood had abducted him and taken him to an unknown location in Karachi.
The details of Yasir’s abduction remain unclear. Yasir has not spoken much about these four months, but it is clear he somehow escaped. He was seen getting off a train in Faisalabad alone. Once located, the police took him into custody and brought him to a shelter home.
Roshni Helpline eventually located Yasir there and reunited him with his family. Since his return, he has spoken very little about what happened during the months he was missing, and the reasons behind his abduction remain uncertain. It is possible he was being trafficked and moved between cities before he managed to break free.
Back home, Yasir appears cheerful and at ease. He spends most of his time with his seven siblings and enjoys playing cricket in the neighborhood. He does not attend school yet, but his family is relieved to have him back.
